MSIGWA COMMENDS DIT, ENCOURAGES COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC BAJAJIS

Dar es Salaam, July 8, 2026 – Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports and Chief Government Spokesperson, Mr. Gerson Msigwa, visited the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) exhibition booth at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba), where he commended the Institute's innovative technologies, particularly the electric bajaji developed by DIT students in collaboration with their lecturers.
During the visit, Mr. Msigwa praised DIT for advancing local innovation and encouraged the Institute to enhance the technology and scale up the production of electric bajajis for commercial use, noting their potential to contribute to sustainable transportation and industrial development in Tanzania.
